Install by uploading the module in your shop server's hosted files
If you can’t upload the module in your PrestaShop admin, it’s likely that the file size exceeds your server limit. In this case, there are two solutions:
- Increase your server limit
- Upload the .zip file to your shop server
Follow the steps below to upload the .zip file in your shop server. We are using Hostinger as an example, other hosting services may have slightly different steps to follow.
Step 1:
- Download the module from the addons marketplace (v0.1.0-judgeme.zip)
- (IMPORTANT!) Rename the .zip file to judgeme.zip
Step 2:
Go to File Manager and find the /modules folder
then upload two files:
- The .zip file of Judge.me module (judgeme.zip)
- The script file to unzip the module (unzip.php). Download the attached file at the end of this article.
Step 3:
Go to the link below to run the unzip.php
https://[store_url]/modules/unzip.php
(replace the store_url with your PrestaShop store URL)
Step 4:
From PrestaShop dashboard, go to Improve > Modules > Modules Catalog.
Step 5:
Search Judge.me and click “Install”. After the installation is done, click “Configure” to start customizing your settings.
Troubleshooting
If your shop server uses Cloudflare DNS that may ask users for a captcha for certain requests, this may make our module fail to install. To solve this, please exclude our module from Cloudflare captcha validation by following these 2 guides from Cloudflare:
- How do I include or exclude a specific URL from Cloudflare's page rules?
- Understanding and configuring Cloudflare page rules
Use this URL pattern to exclude from the rules:
[your-shop-domain.com]/index.php?controller=*&fc=module&module=judgeme
