In the reporting dashboard (https://judge.me/reports/review_site), we track the number of orders placed on your Shopify store (along with the associated revenue) that originates from the Judge.me review site. These two metrics let you know how much value you can gain from our site and helps us calculate the amount of commission you need to pay (if you are on the paid plan).
To track these data, we insert UTM links under the Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons on your product pages, as well as when your products appear in the collection pages or search results. In this article, we'll explain in detail how the tracking process works.
How do we track the orders and revenue from Judge.me site referrals using UTM links?
When the customers click on the View product in store CTA buttons on your product pages, they will be redirected to your Shopify product pages with a tracked URL, where we add the UTM (Urchin tracking module: support.google.com/urchin/answer/28307) ?ref=judge.me&utm_campaign=judgeme-review-site&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=judgeme.
Shopify will remember this user, thanks to these parameters. Then, when the same customer makes a new purchase, Shopify will attach UTM parameters to the corresponding order. The monetary value of the order with the UTM parameters will be added to the orders and revenue from Judge.me site referrals.
