1. What is the Floating Reviews Tab?

The Floating Reviews Tab is a floating tab on the side of your screen. Upon clicking, a popover opens, showing all your product and shop reviews. If you enable the web reviews, you can also collect more shop reviews from this floating tab. This Floating Reviews Tab is a light version of the All Reviews Page, which helps you convince shop visitors to buy when they are browsing your shop. The Floating Reviews Tab is a feature of our Awesome plan ($15/month).

2. Floating Reviews Tab installation

To install the Floating Reviews Tab, please follow these steps:

  • In the App Embed tab of the Theme Settings, toggle the bar in Judge.me Reviews Tab to the right (*note: please don't toggle the Judge.me Core Snippet because it will cause duplicated widgets). You can customize the position of your tab here (left, right, or bottom). Then click Save.

  • To customize the text, color, theme, etc. of your tab, click Customize more settings in Judge.me" go back to Judge.me settings.

Note:

You need at least 1 published review (either product or shop reviews) for the Floating Reviews Tab to display on your storefront. If you have installed the tab successfully but haven't seen it, start collecting reviews by sending review request emails, then check the Reviews dashboard to make sure you have published your reviews.

3. Floating Reviews Tab settings

In Floating Reviews Tab settings, you can:

  • Hide the tab on mobile devices
  • Change the tab button colors (background, text)
  • Customize the tab button text (by default: ★ Judge.me Reviews)
  • Customize the title of the review widget inside the floating tab (by default: Let customers speak for us).
  • Customize the path or URL to the All Reviews Page. For example: /pages/reviews
  • Choose among three themes: Default, Leex, Align.

4. Advanced customizations

The Floating Reviews Tab automatically respects your store's overall design to save your time on customizing. Still, it is highly customizable with HTML and CSS. Please note that advanced customizations require some knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Making the button text ALL CAPS: Please add the following CSS to your theme's CSS liquid file:

5. Troubleshooting

You may see the Floating Reviews Tab button hanging at the top when you are logged in to the Shopify admin. This is a side effect of the black bar at the top of the screen from your Shopify theme. Your customers can't see the black bar as well as this effect so everything will look completely normal to your shop visitors.
