Language review selection

Hello,

I am using the translate Labs Shopify App to translate my website and get a language selector to choose between the different languages (English and German)

I would like to know if I can get the reviews in multiple languages (2 from now on) and get the right review language exposed to the visitor when they switch between the available languages in the store.

If yes, would you mind pointing me to the right place in your help description to understand how it works?

Thanks

Hello Alejandro,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I'm afraid that we do not integrate with the mentioned app, however you can reach their support to ask for a workaround how they can translate our review.

currently we do integrate with Weglot (https://support.judge.me/en/support/solutions/articles/44001939323-weglot-translate-your-judge-me-widgets-in-multiple-languages) that can translate the reviews and our widgets as well.

Please feel free to reach us if you have any further questions!

Best.

Hello,

I did try judge.me with our translation app "translation labs" from Sherpas.

Everything was good, and I was able to translate a couple of reviews.

Then, I placed 20 more reviews when I discovered that the first five reviews (first page of judge.me) were translated, and all the rest reviews on the other pages were back in English :(

Is there any way you can help me to get this working? I would appreciate it if you could review the issue and propose a solution; otherwise, I need to look for alternatives.

Thanks for your comprehension

Hello Alejandro,

I think it's not working from the 2nd page onward because of this:

- Our app store the 1st page of the review widget in Shopify meta fields (to optimize speed for your page, so it won't have to request to our server for 1st page reviews). This is probably why Translation labs was able to translate the 1st page of reviews since the app can translate Shopify meta fields.

- However, from the 2nd page onward, when you click on them, it will request and pull the reviews from our server so these reviews are not coming from meta fields anymore but they are dynamic contents (meaning they are not static like Shopify meta fields as it needs to be pulled from our server and you won't know the content of it until it finished pulling).

For this reason, you might need to ask Translation labs supports to see if their app can translate dynamic contents or not. Usually on other translation apps, I see they use AI to do this (it's impossible to translate manually since you don't know what the content is until the reviews are finished pulling through)

Thank you very much for the detailed information, and it makes total sense to me.

In fact, we translate from page 2 manually but page 1, since we had seen it was translated when we were going back from page review page 2 to review page 1, it backs to English :(

Anyway, I talked with the Translate Lab team, and they sent this video to me, but they allow me to share it with you guys; they also would like to talk and get some tech information to connect with Judge me reviews, despite is good for me I believe it is important for both.

Below is the link to the video, and please let me know how I can forward the tech/development information to translation labs to work on the integration.

Thanks
