Spam

So i get a spam message offering their products on our site, we understand that is the 'cheapeast' way to do marketing for a beginner but, still, its a spam.

We already enable the spam filter, however, as i checked in the spam, the spam isnt really a spam but a good reviews. (which i already clicking as not a spam)

The other issues is that, the first person who is spamming our site isnt our customer or any member, we understand that we need to restrict the review button (to not able to let anyone adding review in the site, however, we still need that option for our non-verified customer to be able to write their honest review on our site)

Questions :

1) Will my non-verified customer be able to write a review after i enabled the  Restrict review creation?
2) After enable this option
Heavy restriction, is there any extra step for my non-verified customer to add on their review on site? Like need to verify code or something that make it more difficult to add one review?

3) How to get verified as customer?

I think thats all for now. Anything can contact me at
naani.nsr@gmail.com or nani@pttoutdoor.com

Please help assist, thanks.

Nani

Hello Nani,

First, let me give you some more details about our Web Review and Web Review Spam Filter setting:

  • Restrict review creation: This hides the “write-a-review” button so it is not possible to leave a review via the widget on the website. Reviews creation is restricted to (a) verified buyers from our review requests, or (b) programmatically via API.
  • Heavy restriction enabled. In addition to the above (“write-a-review” button hidden), API requests are also disabled, so spammers with bots/code that target shops will not be able to create fake reviews.
  • Enable web reviews spam filter: When you enable this, Judge.me will detect and filter out spam reviews coming from the "write-a-review" form on your webpages as well as via API using a third party spam filter. This is an Awesome only feature. You can use this setting to filter out spam if you want to continue to allow review creation via the web and API (so if you want to be less restrictive and disable the two settings above).

So, related to your questions:

1) Will my non-verified customer be able to write a review after i enabled the  Restrict review creation?

=> No, because this hides the “write-a-review” button so it is not possible to leave a review via the widget on the website.

2) After enable this option Heavy restriction, is there any extra step for my non-verified customer to add on their review on site? Like need to verify code or something that make it more difficult to add one review?

=> No, only customers who came via our Review Request Email are able to leave reviews.

3) How to get verified as customer?

=> Please correct me if I missunderstand your question, are you asking about the Verified Buyer badge? If so, we automatically add a Verified Buyer badge if the reviewer is a buyer of the shop. We verify this with the list of orders from the ecommerce platform.
