Available on the Awesome plan

With Request Sequence, you have the flexibility to select specific email templates for each review request and reminder within your workflow.

Setting up your email sequence

Step 1: Enable automatic reminders

To reach the Automatic Reminders section within the Judge.me admin, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Judge.me admin panel.

  2. Click on Collect Reviews.

  3. Select Automatic Requests.

  4. Scroll down the page to find the Automatic reminders section

For other platforms

  • In your Judge.me admin panel, go to Settings > Review Requests > Timing and Format > Automatic Reminders.

  • Here, you can choose the number of reminders you wish to send, with a maximum of three. Don't forget to click Save settings when you're done.

Step 2: Create custom email templates

Craft custom email templates to match your sequence. For example, if you plan to send three reminders, prepare four templates: "Initial Review Request," "Reminder 1," "Reminder 2," and "Reminder 3." Assign each template accordingly to its corresponding phase.

Step 3: Activate all email templates

Make sure to activate all the email templates you've created by clicking on them.

Please Note

  • If both custom and default email templates are active, default templates will only be available for the initial review request and selected randomly.

  • When sending requests manually from the Requests dashboard, the system will always use the Initial Review Request template.

Adjusting the email sequence in case of missing templates

If the appropriate template for a particular sequence is missing, the system follows these rules:

  1. It selects the closest template that comes before in the sequence.

  2. If that template is also missing, it chooses the closest template that comes after in the sequence.

The sequence hierarchy, from lowest to highest, is as follows: "Initial Review Request" < "Reminder 1" < "Reminder 2" < "Reminder 3."

Example 1

  • Initial review request [OFF]

  • Reminder 1 [ON]

  • Reminder 2 [ON]

  • Reminder 3 [ON]

Explanation: If the Initial Review Request is missing, the system will use Reminder 1 as the Initial Review Request because it's the closest template in the hierarchy.

Example 2

  • Initial review request [ON]

  • Reminder 1 [OFF]

  • Reminder 2 [ON]

  • Reminder 3 [ON]

Explanation: If Reminder 1 is missing, the system will use the Initial Review Request as Reminder 1 since Initial Review Request is the closest template before Reminder 1.

Example 3:

  • Initial review request [ON]

  • Reminder 1 [ON]

  • Reminder 2 [OFF]

  • Reminder 3 [ON]

Explanation: If Reminder 2 is missing, the system will use Reminder 1 as Reminder 2 because Reminder 1 is the closest template before Reminder 2.

Example 4:

  • Initial review request [ON]

  • Reminder 1 [OFF]

  • Reminder 2 [OFF]

  • Reminder 3 [OFF]

Explanation: If all Reminders are missing, the system will use the Initial Review Request for all reminders because it's now the closest template before all reminders.

Email sequence and multiple-language emails

If you're using Multiple Language Emails, you should prepare Initial Review Requests and Reminders for each language.

For instance:

If you intend to send emails in both English and French, and you've enabled two automatic reminders, you'll need to prepare nine email templates:

  • English - Initial Review Request

  • English - Reminder 1

  • English - Reminder 2

  • French - Initial Review Request

  • French - Reminder 1

  • French - Reminder 2

  • Any Language - Initial Review Request

  • Any Language - Reminder 1

  • Any Language - Reminder 2

The system will prioritize matching the locale with the email language. If no matching templates are found, it will use templates from other languages if available.

Email sequence and A/B testing

A/B testing is compatible with email sequences and multiple-language emails. The system will randomly select a qualified template.

For example:

A/B Test 1: Create two English templates for the Initial Review Request. The system will randomly choose between these two versions when an English - Initial Review Request is required.

  • English - Initial Review Request - Version A

  • English - Initial Review Request - Version B

A/B Test 2: Create two French templates for Reminder 1. The system will randomly select between these two versions when a French - Reminder is needed.

  • French - Reminder 1 - Version A

  • French - Reminder 1 - Version B
