Crafting a well-designed email can significantly boost your conversion rate. If you're just starting out, explore how to set up your review request emails and gain insights into creating more effective email templates.

1. Upload your logo

When you install Judge.me, we automatically retrieve your store logo for use in the default email templates. If you prefer to upload your logo manually, follow these steps:

  • From Judge.me admin, go to General Settings > Branding > Store logo. Then you can enter your store logo URL


For other platforms

  • Go to Settings > Review Requests > Email Templates.

Pro Tip: For Shopify users, you can upload an image by going to Shopify settings > Files > Upload files and then copy the provided link to use as the logo URL.


2. Choose an email template

Judge.me provides four default email templates, all of which are completely free to use. To preview their appearance and determine which template suits your needs best, refer to this example showcasing the default templates.

For those on the Awesome plan, you have the flexibility to customize your own email template using drag-and-drop blocks. To activate or deactivate a template, simply go to Requests > Email Templates and click on your preferred email template.

3. Edit the subject line

The subject line serves as the initial point of contact with your customers. With Judge.me, you can personalize this subject line to align with your brand's voice, ultimately increasing the open rate of your review request emails.

In each template, you can easily modify the subject line right from the beginning. Don't hesitate to leverage our variables to make your subject line more enticing.

4. Customize email content

Tailor the color scheme for the stars, buttons, links, and background to harmonize with your brand's identity. You'll find these customization options near the bottom of the email template settings.

Pro Tip: The Single Review Email Template and Multi-Review Email Template share most of the styling components. So, any changes you make to one template will be applied to the other template as well.

5. Test your email template

Once you've completed your template adjustments, you can preview how it appears on both mobile and desktop in the left window. Additionally, you have the option to send yourself an example email to see how it will appear in real life. This test email will be sent to all admin email addresses associated with your account.
