With Judge.me, you have the ability to prevent automatic review request emails from being sent to certain customers, products, or orders.

Exclude emails

From your Jugde.me admin, go to Collect Reviews > Emails > Blocklist and unsubscribed emails > Emails blocklist section.

Tip!

You can use an asterisk (*) to match any number of characters. For instance:

  • *@hotmail.com to blocklist all email addresses from hotmail.com

  • no-reply@* to blocklist all email addresses that begin with no-reply.

For other platforms

To blocklist an email:

  • In the Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Review Request > Conditions > Email Blocklist.

  • Enter the email address you wish to exclude from review request emails. You can add multiple email addresses by separating them with commas.

  • Click Save settings.

Exclude products

Available on the Awesome plan

From your Jugde.me admin, go to Manage Reviews > Products & Groups

  • Select the product you want to change > Click on Disable requests

For other platforms

To stop sending review requests for specific products:

  1. In the Judge.me admin, go to Manage Reviews > Products & Groups.

  2. Select the product you want and change its "Send request" status to "NO."

Blocklist automation by tags

Available on the Awesome plan

  • With blocklist automation, you can conveniently add tags to your customers, products, or orders in Shopify to prevent review requests from being sent to them.

  • In WooCommerce, you can use tag automation for your products.

Here are some articles for your reference:

Blocklist automation using the "judgeme_excluded" tag

The "judgeme_excluded" tag is automatically blocklisted by default. You can simply add this tag to your products, orders, or customers to exclude them from receiving emails.

Blocklist automation using your own tags

From Judge.me admin, go to Collect Reviews > Emails > Blocklist and unsubscribed emails > Tag blocklist section.

For other platforms

Apart from the default tag mentioned above, you can also use your own custom tags to blocklist customers, products, and orders.

To blocklist using your custom tags:

  1. In the Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Review Request > Conditions > Blocklist Automation by Tags.

  2. Add the new tag and press Enter.

  3. Click Save settings.

Then, in your eCommerce platform's admin, add this new tag to your customers, products, or orders. Adding custom tags will not affect existing customers and orders.

Please note that it might take up to 2 hours for all tags to be updated. To prevent errors, add all the tags as a single batch and avoid adding or removing new tags repeatedly.

Removing blocklist tags

To remove blocklist automation, you can either:

  • Remove the tag in Judge.me

  • Or remove the tag from your products, customers, and orders.

When removing blocklist automation by tags for a product, please also change its "Send request" status back to "Active".
