What are verified reviews?

Verified reviews are a way to ensure the credibility of customer feedback. At Judge.me, we automatically verify reviews based on the order history of our e-commerce platform partners, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Square, and Squarespace. If reviews aren't linked to existing orders, stores can request manual verification by providing proof of orders.

Once Judge.me confirms the review's authenticity, it earns a verified buyer badge, indicating to consumers that this review comes from a store purchaser. While this badge can be translated and customized, it can't be added by the merchants themselves.

Verification of web and imported reviews

Web reviews

Web reviews, those submitted directly on your web store (rather than through a review request email), aren't automatically marked as verified reviews, even if they come from verified buyers. However, we do send verification emails to these reviewers in specific cases:

  1. If the reviewer has placed orders in any store.

  2. If the reviewer has logged into their user profile.

  3. If the reviewer has reviews verified as a buyer in any store.

We encourage you to keep your review confirmation email enabled. If this email is disabled, your reviewers can't confirm their web reviews, which leave these reviews unverified.

In case reviewers miss or overlook the verification email, you can provide us with evidence of their orders. Our team will then manually verify these web reviews on your behalf. It's important to note that when a reviewer submits a web review, this information is added to the customer data shared with us by Shopify, which you can access in the Customers section of your Shopify admin.

Imported reviews

Imported reviews are not automatically verified. If you import reviews from a verified source, such as another store you own, please reach out to [email protected]. We'll manually verify these reviews as long as you can provide evidence, such as screenshots of the order history from your other store.

However, it's important to know that reviews imported from AliExpress do not qualify as verified reviews because we cannot determine their original source since the reviewer did not place an order from your store.

Adding a verified reviews counter

Once you've accumulated 20 verified reviews, you can proudly display a Verified Reviews Counter. Here's how:

  1. From Judge.me admin, go to Widgets > Verified Reviews Counter

  2. Proceed to the Verified Reviews Counter Installation section.

  3. Enable the bar, and we'll take care of installing the badge for you.

Having a Verified Reviews Counter can further build trust among your customers, highlighting your commitment to transparency and authentic feedback.

For other platforms

  1. Go to Settings > Other Widgets > Verified Reviews Counter.
